April proved to be a productive month for our Support Services team as we navigated various tasks and initiatives to enhance client experiences and streamline processes.
Our primary focus was on facilitating upgrades for our clients, with 33 successfully transitioned to version 2023.1.2. Simultaneously, we proactively prepared for May upgrades to 2023.1.3 by sending sandboxes and initiating follow-ups to ensure a smooth upgrade. In tandem with upgrade efforts, the team resolved just under 1000 support tickets.
Behind the scenes, our team has been working non-stop to refine the overall upgrade process, aiming for efficiency and simplicity. We’re excited to announce the imminent release of an FAQ sheet and an Excel template roadmap, designed to help focus client testing activities in the Sandbox site.
MYOB continue to work on improvements related to the upgrade process and have been sharing progress with us. During a partner workshop early April, we learned that Acumatica are currently building a tool to test the compatibility of existing customisations with upcoming versions. We have also been told that MYOB are working on release notes that are workflow based, and more directed to end users. This will help clients to see how changes will directly affect their daily processes. The first iteration of these should be available in June/July, ahead of the 2024 version release.
Finally, we celebrated the successful completion of Boris’ first month with us after joining in early March and we bid a fond farewell to Eddie, who transitioned to a new role as a Technical Consultant for the Consulting team from his previous role in Support Services. We extend our best wishes to Eddie and express our gratitude for his contributions, while welcoming Boris warmly into our team.
Did you know, that in version 2023.1.3 there are some big changes to security, most specifically with passwords?
In R 2023.1.3, being deployed from 13th May, a password change will be for users who have not enabled 2FA. Users who do not enable 2FA will be expected to have a password which is minimum 14 characters in length.
Our hot tip this month is to either sign up to 2FA, or pro-actively change your password to a minimum of 14 characters. If you need help, please raise a ticket in the Customer portal, or send an email to support@stratusgroup.com.au.
